SON OF AN SI BEATEN TO DEATH AFTER INTOXICATING HIM`

Ara, 17 June 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police recovered body of a youth from Milki Anaith village under Ara Nawada police station and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Ravi Ranjan Singh alias Bittu 22 son of an SI Ramesh Kumar Singh of Kadara Basantpur village under Ara Muffassil police station. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Ara Nawada police station on the statement of Ramesh Kumar Singh, father of the deceased. Police are investigating the matter.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Ravi Ranjan Singh took drugs and lived in company of drug addicts. He said that the prima facie of the case showed that he died due to excessive intoxication. Police are investigating the matter and only the postmortem report will confirm the exact reason of the death.

On the other hand, Ramesh Kumar Singh said that his son Ravi Ranjan Singh had gone out of the house in the evening on June 15, 2023 and at about 9pm he informed that he was returning home on motorcycle but he did not come. The family members searched for him everywhere but in vain. Meanwhile they were told that someone thrashed him to death after intoxicating him.
