BHABHUA----------------------In case of blackmailing for liquor, at integrated check-post at Mohania in Kaimur district, Liquor Prohibition and Excise Department suspended the Sub-Inspector Md. Irshad and the constable Kunal Kumar posted at the integrated check-post with immediate effect.
Excise Commissioner Rajnish Kumar Singh said that a person from Odhisa had informed him on mobile on February 10, 2025 that the SI and a constable posted at the Integrated Check-Post at Mohania had realised Rs. 1 lakh from his and four others persons in a car in lieu of releasing the remaining liquor. Taking the matter seriously, he got it investigated. He also got the constable and the a worker of a hotel identified the blackmailers, Kunal Kumar, a constable and a worker of a hotel Satish Kumar by the complainant through video calling. Kunal Kumar himself confessed that he had taken money and also said that Rs.10,500 was returned. A named FIR was lodged with the police against the constable Kunal Kumar and the worker of the hotel Satish Kumar and sent them jail and at the same time suspended the Sub-Inspector Md.Irshad Ansari for dereliction of duty.
