SHAHPUR BLOCK PRAMUKH TERMED ALLEGATION OF THE BJP LEADER BASELESS

ARA (RNI) Shahpur Block Pramukh in Bhojpur district, Sangeeta Devi termed the allegations against her family members leveled by the BJP leader Rakesh Ojha as baseless and prejudiced.

Sangeeta Devi said that the allegation leveled by the BJP leader Rakesh Ojha against her family members was not only baseless but also an attempt to tarnish the image of her family and brighten his face in political rivalry. She added that it was only her name that helps him earn his livelihood.

Sangeeta Devi met the Jagdishpur DSP Rajeev Chandra Singh and said that Rakesh Ojha wants to contest elections, he should contest but not by defaming them. He should not make false and baseless allegation against others to make himself famous. She demanded impartial investigation of the allegations and the incident. Sangeeta Devi tried to reassure her supporters and the general public by calling the allegations baseless. However, this denial does not reduce the seriousness of Rakesh Ojha’s allegations.

It may be mentioned here that some armed miscreants fired upon the car of the BJP leader Rakesh Ojha indiscriminately near Gopibaba temple on Karnamepur Mors when he was returning from Bharouli village under Shahpur police station in the late evening on April 15, 2025 after attending a function there. Though Rakesh Ojha had a narrow escape but his car was badly damaged. An FIR was lodged against three named Shiv Jeet Mishra of Sonbarsha village, Kishun Mishra and former PACS president Sant Mishra of Bharouli village and some unknown persons with the police under Shahpur police station on the statement of Rakesh Ojha and he demanded security for his life and arrest of the miscreants. In the FIR Rakesh Ojha said that Shiv Jeet Mishra, Kishun Mishra and Sant Mishra are behind the attack citing past enmity. The police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.

The incident is being linked to a previous rivalry in which Rakesh Ojha’s father and former BJP State Vice-President, Visheshwar Ojha was murdered in the year 2016.

It is worth mentioning here that this incident once again refreshes possibility of further increasing the political and personal rivalry already present in the area. Tension prevails in and around the area following the incident and is posing challenge to the police. People are apprehending that a new war may once again occur in the area. SHO Shahpur police station Kumar Rajanikant said that the police are investigating the matter and the culprits would be very soon arrested.
