SEXAGENARIAN SHOT AT, INJURED

Ara, 6 January 2022, (RNI): Some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured an elderly person at Koyal village under Charpokhari police station while sleeping in the night on January 5, 2022 and escaped. Hearing the gun shot, the family members rushed to the spot and found the elderly person lying in pool of blood. They admitted him to the Primary Health Centre but the doctor referred him to the Ara Sadar Hospital in precarious condition. The injured was identified as Yogendra Kumar 60 son of late Ram Pravesh Thakur. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Charpokhari police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.

SHO Charpokhari police station said that Yogendra Kumar was sleeping at the outdoor of his house when about three armed miscreants came and pumped bullets into his body and escaped from the scene.
