SEVEN YEARS RI TO HUSBAND FOR KILLING HIS WIFE

Additional District and Session Judge 10, Ara Civil Court Devanand Mishra awarded seven year rigorous imprisonment to a person Pradyumn Sah and also slapped a fine of Rs. 1000 on him in connection with murder of his newly wed wife.

ARA (RNI) Additional District and Session Judge 10, Ara Civil Court Devanand Mishra awarded seven year rigorous imprisonment to a person Pradyumn Sah and also slapped a fine of Rs. 1000 on him in connection with murder of his newly wed wife.

Additional Public Prosecutor Vidyawati Kumari said that Binti Kumari daughter of Chhote Lal Prasad of Nawanagar village in Buxar district was married with Pradyuman Sah son of Santosh Sah of Dubauli village under Agiaw police station in Bhojpur district in April 30, 2021. Since marriage, her husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law tortured her physically and mentally for more dowry and when their demands were not fulfilled, they killed her and also performed her last rites in a haste in October 24, 2021. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Agiaw police station against the in-laws and husband of the deceased on the statement of the father of the deceased. After investigation, the police submitted charge sheet in the court against Pradyuman Sah, husband of the deceased.

After hearing both the parties, the ADJ 10, Ara Civil Court Devanand Mishra convicted Pradyuman Sah and awarded rigorous seven years imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 1000 on him.
