SASARAM-----------------------------At least seven persons including four children were killed while five other including three women injured when a speeding Scorpio rammed into a Container parked on roadside Pakhnari village under Shivsagar police station on National Highway 02 in Rohtas district in the wee hour today. The deceased were identified as Tara Kumari 18, Chandani Kumari 15, Arvind Sharma 50, Rajmati Devi 50, Aditya Kumar 8, Riya Kumari 9 and Soni Kumari 35 while the injured were identified as Ravi Nandan Priyadarshi 30, Ritu Sharma 14, Sudeshwar Sharma 60 Divya Kumari 25 and Upendra Sharma 30. Later the police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there. All the deceased and injured were resident of Kudari village under Chenari police station in Kaimur district.
SHO Shivsagar police station said that at least a dozen men, women and children were returning to Kudari village under Sabar police station in Kaimur district from Bodh Gaya in Scorpio. When they reached near Pakhnari village under Shivsagar police station in Rohtas district at about 3am today, the driver lost balance on the steering and the Scorpion rammed into a container parked on roadside killing seven persons including four children on spot and injuring five persons including three women.
