ARA-------------------------One person was killed while five others injured when the car hit the divider near Babhniawa village under Jagdishpur police station on Ara-Mohania NH-30 in Bhojpur district in the late night. The deceased was identified as Satyendra Prasad 40 son of late Raghu Lal Ram of Tenduni village Ward No 10 under Jagdishpur police station. He was a retired air force Sargent in the department of account at Gandhinagar in Gajrat and had retired in December 2023. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured in the Sub-Divisional Hospital at Jagdishpur.
SHO Jagdishpur police station said that Satyendra Prasad along with his sister Indu Kumari, three nieces (bhanji) and one nephew (bhanja) had gone to the birthday party of his nephew (bhatija) and after the party hew was returning to Ara in a car. On the way, a blue cow (Nilgai) was lying dead on the road. Due to darkness in the night, it was not seen and the wheel of the car ran over it. As a result, the driver lost control over the steering and the car hit the divider killing the Sargent on the spot and injuring all the five persons of his family.
