SEPTUAGENARIAN WOMAN DIED IN MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA------------------------A septuagenarian woman was found dead in her room of her house at Nonar village under Hasan Bazaar police station in Bhojpur district under mysterious circumstances. Some marks were found around her neck. On information, the police arrived at the spot and recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Leela Kuer 70 wife of late Rajendra Upadhyaya of Nonaur village.

SHO Hasan Bazaar police station said that after the dead of her husband, Leela Kuer mostly lived all alone in her house. All the three sons lived outside the village along with their families. In the night, the servant after serving food to her, had gone his home in the village. In the morning next day, the villagers found the door of the house closed and so tried to get it opened. They informed the police. On information the police arrived at the spot and broke open the door of the room and found Leela Kuer dead. Seeing the marks on her neck, there is a suspicion that she might have been murdered. Hearing the death of the mother, the son, Abhishek Upadhaya also suspected that his mother was killed. He said that his mother was living with him at Ara for the last some months and she had come to Nonaur during Ramnavami. He said some miscreants entered the room through the roof of the house and strangulated her to death. The SHO said that the police are investigating the matter but no written petition has so far been received. He said that after the postmortem report the exact reason of death will be ascertained.

It may be said that former PACS president Rajend Upadhayaya was also killed while sleeping with his grandson on October 26, 2020 in the village while all his three sons were out. The miscreants had entered the house through the roof and killed him with an axe. Police are still clueless in this regard.
