SEPTUAGENARIAN CRUSHED TO DEATH

Ara, 6 March 2023, (RNI): A septuagenarian speeding vehicle crushed to death an elderly woman near Bibiganj Bus Stand under Gajrajganj police outpost in the morning on Monday on Ara-Buxar NH in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Khaderan Kuer 72 wife of late Pujan Mahato of Bibiganj Ward No 11. Irate villagers blocked the Ara-Buxar NH with the body of the deceased for about an hour and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded compensation for the family of the deceased and arrest of the driver of the vehicle. Police officials somehow persuaded the agitating people and the blockade could be lifted. Later the police brought the body to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

SHO Gajrajganj police outpost Chandan Kumar said that Khaderan Kuer had gone to the field in the morning in the village to attend all of nature when a speeding vehicle crushed her to death near Bibiganj Bus stand and the driver escaped with the vehicle.
