SEMINAR ON ‘INVEST IN WOMEN-ACCELERATE THE PROGRESS’ ORGANIZED TO MARK THE WORLD WOMAN DAY

A rally, poster making and seminar on “Invest in Women-Accelerate the Progress” was organized jointly by the Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, New Delhi and Antyodaya Chetana Mandal on the occasion of Mahila Week on the campus of R. S Memorial Girls High School cum Shishu Sadan at Jagdeo Nagar at Ara to mark the World Women Day. Dr. Nisha Mohan Jha, former Chairman, United State Child Protection Commission, Dr. P K Dwiwedi, senior scientist, SCADA, Bhojpur, Anshu Kumar, SHO Ara Women police station, Dr. Shashi Kala Rai, Principal of the school, Bhim Singh Bhawesh, journalist, jointly inaugurated the function by lighting the ceremonial candle. School children sang welcome note and the distinguished guests were honoured by giving mementos and shawls.

ARA (RNI) A rally, poster making and seminar on “Invest in Women-Accelerate the Progress” was organized jointly by the Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, New Delhi and Antyodaya Chetana Mandal on the occasion of Mahila Week on the campus of R. S Memorial Girls High School cum Shishu Sadan at Jagdeo Nagar at Ara to mark the World Women Day. Dr. Nisha Mohan Jha, former Chairman, United State Child Protection Commission, Dr. P K Dwiwedi, senior scientist, SCADA, Bhojpur, Anshu Kumar, SHO Ara Women police station, Dr. Shashi Kala Rai, Principal of the school, Bhim Singh Bhawesh, journalist, jointly inaugurated the function by lighting the ceremonial candle. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest, Dr. Nisha Mohan Jha said that the society is moving towards change. Today, it is the result of investment that women are moving forward accepting challenges in every field. She further said that they have to invest in the field of education, technical knowledge and entrepreneurship to strengthen the society and the women as well. It is the duty of the elders to invest their knowledge in the coming generation and make them stronger.  

Dr. P K Dwiwedi, senior scientist, SCADA, Bhojpur said that mothers’ contribution in shaping lives is the biggest. We are the investment of women themselves. Today girls are progressing in every field and this is the result of investment.

Senior journalist Dr. Bhim Singh Bhawesh said that today the results of girls are getting better in every field. If daughters study, light shines in the houses.

SHO Ara Woman police station Anshu Kumari said that the condition and direction will change only when you keep control within yourself. Investment will happen automatically. Sharing her experience, she said that girls should increase their strength and patience. The biggest quality of a woman is dedication. Parents are true well-wishers. We should avoid social distortions. There is no one who loves us more than our parents. If we remember the love of our parents, there is no need for any other love.

In her presidential address, Principal of the school, Dr. Shashi Kala Rai said that we have to empower and strengthen the girls so that they can bring changes in their lives in the economic and social fields. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the World Youth Centre for selecting this theme and thanked both the organizations.

Conducting the programme, Secretary, Antyodaya Chetana Mandal, Ramnath Thakur said that the people from the front line should take strong initiative to strengthen the girls in every field. He said that the future of the child depends on the role of mother.

The best posters of 10 girls including Purvi Pandey, Ananya Kumari, Ritu Kumari, Priyanjali, Srishti, Saloni, Madhu were excelled in competition and were selected in the poster making competition and they were rewarded by the organizations.

Anju Kumari, Maya Bhashkar, Asha Kumari, Manisha Pandey, Pushpa Kumari, Soni Kumari, Pratima Kumari, Upendra Sharma, Pramod Kumar, Ajay Kumar and others had commendable contribution in making the programme successful. Sudarshan Rai, director of the school, extended vote of thanks.
