SEMINAR ON "INVESTING IN WOMEN: PROMOTING PROGRESS" ORGANIZED

During the International Women’s Week, a seminar on "Investing in Women: Promoting Progress" was organized jointly by the World Youth Centre and Antyodaya Chetana Mandal at Hardiya village of Jagdishpur block in Bhojpur district. The seminar was inaugurated by Mukhia, Dawa Panchayat Sushumlata Kushwaha, Social Security Expert, Shanti Devi, Professor Pramod Kumar and Financial Literary Advisor Adarsh Kumar and Branch Manager, South Bihar Gramin Bank Aditya Kumar jointly by lighting the ceremonial candle. Mukhia Hardiya panchayat Sanjhavati Devi presided over the programme and Kiran Pandey extended vote of thanks.

ARA (RNI) During the International Women’s Week, a seminar on "Investing in Women: Promoting Progress" was organized jointly by the World Youth Centre and Antyodaya Chetana Mandal at Hardiya village of Jagdishpur block in Bhojpur district. The seminar was inaugurated by Mukhia, Dawa Panchayat Sushumlata Kushwaha, Social Security Expert, Shanti Devi, Professor Pramod Kumar and Financial Literary Advisor Ad rsh Kumar and Branch Manager, South Bihar Gramin Bank Aditya Kumar jointly by lighting the ceremonial candle. Mukhia Hardiya panchayat Sanjhavati Devi presided over the programme and Kiran Pandey extended vote of thanks. 

Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Pramod Kumar said that there is continuous progress in investing government resources towards the economic empowerment of women in Bihar. Effective implementation of schemes related to women’s education, literacy and security has started.

Sushmlata Kushwaha, Mukhia Dawa Panchayat, said that for the economic empowerment of women, the government is giving concrete shape to the scheme by doing gender budgeting in every department which is commendable. She said that today women are progressing in every field and this is the result of better and positive thinking of the society and the government. She thanked both the organizations for organizing such an event in the village.

Teacher Neetu Kumari said that today women are making their mark at the national level in all fields along with strengthening the home and society. Financial Literacy Advisor Adarsh Kumar and the Branch Manager Aditya Kumar, South Bihar Gramin Bank impressed the women by giving them detailed information.

Social worker Rani Pandey said that women are today playing pivotal role in household chorus as well as operating savings accounts for their own use. There is a need to make them more aware of their self-reliance in villages.

Secretary, Antyoday Chetna Mandal, Ram Nath Thakur conducted the meeting and said that now initiative will have to be taken to make women socially, economically and technically aware.

Hundreds of women and students of higher secondary classes from Badki Hardiya, Chhotaki Hardiya, Kharha Tola, Panapur villages participated in the programme organized by Vishwa Yuvak Kendra and the Antyodaya Chetana Mandal jointly. Ajay Pandey, Lal Bhushan Pandit, Aman Kumar, Prakash Kumar, Shiv Mohan Yadav, Krishna Pandey contributed a lot in making the programme successful.
