SEMINAR AND RALLY ON ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS

ARA (RNI) Under the banner of a seminar and rally on environmental awareness was organized jointly by the Vishwa Youth Centre and Antyodaya Chetana Mandal at Upgraded Secondary School, Mukundpur to mark the International Environment Day Fortnight. Former DSW, Veer Kuer Singh University, Prof. Paras Rai. Prof. Rajendra Pandey, Headmaster of the School, Mangal Kumar Mangalam, Panchayat Head Praveen Kumar, farmers’ inventor Krishna Kant Singh jointly inaugurated the seminar. Panchayat Head, Praveen Kumar presided over the seminar while Ram Nath Thakur conducted the programme and Ramagya Tiwari extended vote of thanks.

Speaking on the occasion, Ram Nath Thakur, Secretary, Antyodaya Chetan Mandal said that nature is the originator of animal and plant community on earth. Today, climate change is having a negative impact on the weather and its time cycle. Temperature is continuously increasing due to carbon emissions.

In his address, Prof. Paras Rai said that today the threat of climate change is looming over the entire world. Due to land degradation and desertification, fertile land is decreasing, the solution for which is to make people aware and sensitive towards the environment.

Prof. Rajendra Pandey said that due to irrational development, a lot of damage is being done to the environment. Therefore, there is a need to plant more and more trees.

Principal Mangal Kumar Mangalam said that due to physical comforts, the temperature is increasing at a face pace today due to which the crop cycle and crop production is being adversely affected. For this we need to focus more and more on tree plantation and forestry.

Farmers’ inventor, Krishna Kant Singh said that the environment has been of great importance since ancient times. Due to increasing population and indiscriminate use of natural resources, industrialization, the world’s temperature is increasing at worrying levels. Therefore, humans have to be saved from misuse of natural resources. On the said occasion, all the people present were made to pledge to plant at least a tree in their life.

Praveen Kumar said that the water level is going down due to extreme temperatures for this both water harvesting and plantation are necessary. Later he thanked both the organizations and said that the people of the panchayat will definitely benefit from such a programme. Later a rally was taken out from the school campus and culminated to the Pune School giving a message of importance of environment equilibrium to the villagers in the forms of stars. On this occasion, saplings were planted on the school campus and about 100 saplings of different variety of plants were also distributed.

Rajesh Kumar, Satya Narayan Pandey, Virendra Thakur, Ram Kumar Thakur, Sri Bhagwan Pandey, Md. Riyazuddin Ansari, Dheeraj kumar, Manoranjan Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
