Buxar police arrested a Class IX student with a country made pistol from near High School, Ojha Baraw under Murar police station of Chaugai block in Buxar district when he had come to his school with the firearms. On his revelation, the police conducted raid at the house of Laxman Kumar of the village and recovered a double barrel gun and 29 live cartridges from there though the police could not arrest Laxman Kumar. Police had launched raid campaign in the village till late evening on September 30, 2024.

BUXAR------------------------Buxar police arrested a Class IX student with a country made pistol from near High School, Ojha Baraw under Murar police station of Chaugai block in Buxar district when he had come to his school with the firearms. On his revelation, the police conducted raid at the house of Laxman Kumar of the village and recovered a double barrel gun and 29 live cartridges from there though the police could not arrest Laxman Kumar. Dumrao SDPO Afaque Akhatar Ansari said that the police got information that a school student was loitering around the High School, Ojha Baraw under Murar police station of Chaugai block in Buxar district. At once a police team went there and arrested the youth with a country made pistol. During interrogation, the youth revealed a number of important information before the police. The SHO Murar police station Kamal Nayan Pandey taking the incident seriously, apprised the senior officials regarding it. Immediately after getting information, the Dumrao SDPO started investigating the matter and at his instruction, a police team conducted raid at the house of Laxman Kumar of the same village and recovered a double barrel gun and 29 live cartridges. The SDPO further said that number of ammunition may increase and the police are still investigating the matter.
