SANSKRITIK BHAWAN IS VICTIM OF OFFICIALS APATHY DESPITE EARNING MORE
Keeping in mind the need of Town Hall at Ara, headquarter of Bhojpur district, a ‘Sanskritik Bhawan’ on the campus of the residence of Ara Civil Surgeon was constructed with the estimated cost of about Rs. 30 lakh in the year 2010 with the seating arrangement of 600 people and a vast stage so that people and even the district administration may organize social, political, religious and education programme but this Sanskritik Bhawan failed to achieve its goal due to indifferent attitude of the officials of the Bhojpur district administration despite realizing heavy amount from the organizers as rent in the name of maintenance
Ara, 7 June 2023, (RNI): Keeping in mind the need of Town Hall at Ara, headquarter of Bhojpur district, a ‘Sanskritik Bhawan’ on the campus of the residence of Ara Civil Surgeon was constructed with the estimated cost of about Rs. 30 lakh in the year 2010 with the seating arrangement of 600 people and a vast stage so that people and even the district administration may organize social, political, religious and education programme but this Sanskritik Bhawan failed to achieve its goal due to indifferent attitude of the officials of the Bhojpur district administration despite realizing heavy amount from the organizers as rent in the name of maintenance. In fact the Bhawan is in dilapidated condition and the officials are playing flute.
Bhojpur district administration realize Rs.8000 for booking a programme whether it is political or social or religious or education and at least four to five programmes are organized in the Sanskritik Bhawan in a month and as an average the district administration realize Rs. 4 lakh per annum from it the Bhawan is not maintained despite earning of so much of amount owing to indifferent attitude of the officials of the district administration. Not to speak of white washing, the administration fails to get it cleaned. The organizers have to get it cleaned despite giving so much of amount. Gates and chairs are broken and even walls are cracked. Earlier, employees were deployed for cleaning the Bhawan but now it is left on the organizers.
Besides, the Sanskritik Bhawan echoed and creates problems for the audience since it was constructed but the officials turned a Nelson’s eye towards this problem despite several complaints and request.
ADM Manoj Kumar Jha said that the Sanskritik Bhawan is very important for the people of Bhojpur district and different types of programmes are organized in it. He added that its shortcomings would be removed.
Ara has Nagari Pracharini Sabha building at the heart of the town and several programmes are organized in it but at present it is victim of war of supremacy between the two factions and Bhojpur district administration is looking after it. After construction of Sanskritik Bhawan, people prefer it to Nagari Pracharini Bhawan due to large seating arrangement and the now the main source of income for the Nagari Prachaniri Sabha is rent from the shops around it.
