Ara, 6 July 2023, (RNI): A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Krishnagarh police station against Rana Singh in connection with demanding Rs. 5lakh as extortion with a threat of dire consequences.
In the FIR, Deepak Kumar Thakur said that he is a resident of Pashurampur village under Sinha police outpost and has a furniture shop at Saraiya Bazaar under Krishnagarh police station and his younger brother Pradeep Thakur looked after the business. He said that on July 4, 2023 at about 11.24pm, a message came to my Instagram ID from an Instagram Rana Singh 4603 Instagram ID. The called demanded Rs. 5 lakh with a threat if he failed to yield to his demand by July 5, 2003, he would kill his brother who look after the business within 12 hours.
SHO Krishnagarh police station Vivek Kumar said that police are investigating the matter and added the ID seemed fake.
