RPF ARRESTED COACH ATTENDANT WITH 20KG OF GANJA
The RPF seized 20 kilograms ganja worth about Rs. 50,000 from 15658 Brahmputra Main at Ara railway station under Danapur rail division of the East-Central Railway, (ECR), Hajipur and arrested the coach attendant.

ARA-------------------------------The RPF seized 20 kilograms ganja worth about Rs. 50,000 from 15658 Brahmputra Main at Ara railway station under Danapur rail division of the East-Central Railway, (ECR), Hajipur and arrested the coach attendant. The arrested coach attendant was identified as Prithwiraj Basumtari son of Shastri Kishore Basumtari of Hegarabari under Dishpur police station of Kamrup district in Assam. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under the GRP in this regard and the police sent him to jail after interrogation.
SHO RPF, Ara post, Suman Kumari said that she got information that ganja was being smuggled in the 15658 Brahamputra Mail Train with the help of the coach attendant. She also got information that the ganja was hidden in the AC Coach Attendant. She immediately swung into action and as the train came at the platform, a police team searched the AC Coach and also the cabin of the coach attendant and seized 20kg of ganja packed in two packets of 10kg each. She further said that three persons were assigned the task at the Kuch Bihar railway to carry the ganja in two bags to New Delhi but the police seized the consignment in the middle at the Ara railway station.
