ROHTAS POLICE SEIZED ABOUT 8KG OF GANJA AND ARRESTED A DRUG SMUGGLER

Sasaram (RNI) Rohtas police, acting on a tip off, arrested a drug smuggler from Musahar Toli at Balihar village under Suryapura police station in Rohtas district and seized 8 kilogram and 300 gram of ganja from his possession. The arrested drug smuggler was identified as Md. Akhtar Alam alias Hafiz of Senaar village under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district and produced him in the court. Later he was sent to jail under judicial custody. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Suryapura police station in this regard under the NDPS Act. Police are investigating the matter.

DSP, Probation cum SHO Suryapura police station Jyoti Kumari said that she got information that ganja is kept in a house at Musahar Toli at Balihar village under Suryapura police station. The police immediately swung into action and conducted raid at the house at Musahar Toli, Balihar and recovered 8.300 kilogram of ganja packed in a bag and kept in a almirah. The police also arrested the drug smuggler Md. Akhtar Alam alias Hafiz.
