ROHTAS POLICE RECOVERED BODY OF A YOUNG GIRL FROM MUSTARD FILED AND ARRESTED HER LOVER CUM MURDERER

SASARAM------------------------Rohtas police recovered body of a young girl from mustard filed at the outskirt of Chintawanpur village under Dhodadh police station on NH-19 in Rohtas district and brought it to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and the police arrested her murderer and lover and sent him to jail after interrogation. An FIR was lodged with the police in this regard and the police are investigating the matter. The deceased was identified as Anurika Kumari 24 daughter of Prakash Yadav of Kaththokawa Ghaghara village under Bisunpur police station in Gumala district while her lover and murderer was identified as Sonu Kumar 30 son of Shiv Prasad Sahu of Purroad Ghaghara village under Ghaghara police station in Jhankhand. The police also recovered wrapper of the deceased, knife used in the murder and also the mobile cover, motorcycle and other articles from Kaimur about 40 kilometer from the incident site.

Sadar SDPO Dilip Kumar said that some miscreants had killed a young girl and threw her body in the mustard field under Dhodadha police station area on February 10, 2025. After getting information about the incident, at the direction of the Rohtas SP a police team was formed under the SDPO-1 and a team of Forensic Science Laboratory and Sniff Dog squad was requisitioned. Photographs of the girl were made viral on social media for her identification. Meanwhile, the Bishunpura police identified the photograph and informed the SDPO-1 that she was Anurika Kumari 24 daughter of Prakash Yadav of Kaththikava village under Bishunpur police station in Gumala district and her family members had lodged an FIR with the police under Bishunpur police station on February 5, 2025 regarding missing of the girl. On the information received from the Bishunpur police station the police team got statement of the family members of the girl in which her love affair with Sonu Kumar son of Shiv Prasad Sahu of Putoroad Ghaghar village under Ghaghara police station in Gumala district for the last two years came to fore. On the other hand, Sonu Kumar said that he worked as delivery boy and during this time, he came in contact with Anurika Kumari.

The SDPO further said that during interrogation, Sonu Kumar confessed that she loved Anurika Kumari but she always pressurized him for marriage and so he hatched a plan and took her to Prayagraj but he killed her on the way and threw her body in the mustard field and also hid the knife, her wrapper, mobile cover and some other articles in field on NH-19 under Kudara police station area in Kaimur district about 40 kilometer from the incident site. Later the police recovered them from there on his revelation.
