ROHTAS POLICE RECOVERED BODY OF A MINOR CHILD FROM THE HOUSE OF HIS NEIGHBOUR

SASARAM--------------------------Rohtas police recovered body of a minor boy from the husk room of a neighbour at Babhani village under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district and brought it to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Himanshu Kumar 7 son of Sudhir Singh of Babhani village. The body was found from the husk room of his neighbour Sunil Singh. The deceased was missing since January 26, 2025. A team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and dog squad arrived at the spot in the presence of the Rohtas SP Roshan Kumar. The sniff dog, after smelling the child’s shoes, fan towards the north of the village where a plastic sandals and a while coloured sack were found. The child body was 40 percent damaged. Only postmortem report may confirm the reason of the murder.

Rohtas SP Roshan Kumar said that Himanshu Kumar 7 son of Sudhir Singh was missing since January 26, 2025. The family members informed the police and themselves were searching for him everywhere. Meanwhile, a woman nearby said that she had seen the shoe of Himanshu at the roof of their neighbour. The family members reached there where foul smell was emitting from the husk rook. They opened the door of the room and found the body of the child. The SP said that the police detained the woman of neighbour for interrogation. An FIR was lodged with the police in this regard and the police are investigating the matter. The SP said that it would be too early to say anything in this regard. He further stated that the room whence the body was found, has been sealed.

Family members said that Himanshu Kumar had gone to a private school Nagarjun Public School in the village on January 26, 2025 and returned home at about 1pm but after some time he came out of the house and since he was missing.
