ROHTAS POLICE ARREST THREE PERSONS FOR MURDER OF A MARRIED WOMAN

SASARAM--------------------------Rohtas police arrested three persons from and sent them to jail in connection with murder of a married woman for dowry. The arrested persons were identified as Meena Devi, mother-in-law, Basant Giri, father-in-law and Sumant Giri, Husband of the deceased. Police are conducting raids to arrest other named accused in this regard.

SHO Kachchhawaha police station Mitesh Kumar said that Radhika Devi of Chalkari village under Pitarwar police station of Bokari district in Jharkhand had married her daughter with Sumant Giri son of Basant Giri of Tulasi Tola under Kachchhawaha police station in Bihar in April this year but she was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her house on July 30, 2023. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Kachchhawaha police station against 10 persons including the mother-in-law Meena Devi, father-in-law Basant Giri and husband Sumant Giri, brothers-in-law Sunil Giri, Santosh Giri, Sant Giri and Sandeep Giri, sisters-in-law Prabha Devi, Suman Devi and Hukmani Devi on the statement of Radhika Devi mother of the deceased on July 31, 2023 in connection with murder of her daughter for dowry. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and arrested three persons husband Sumant Giri, mother-in-law Meena Devi and father-in-law Basasnt Giri and the police are conducting raids to arrest Sunil Giri, Santosh Giri, Sant Giri, Sandeep Giri, Prabha Devi, Suman Devi and Hukmani Devi.
