ROHTAS POLICE ARREST SIX MISCREANTS

SASARAM----------------------Rohtas police arrested six miscreants in connection with a dacoity in Pragati India Office at Jamalpur under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district and sent them to jail after interrogation.

Rohtas SP Roshan Kumar said that at least a dozen armed miscreants on four motorcycles intruded the Pragati India Office at Jamalpur locality Sand Ghat under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district at about 2AM on January 17, 2025 and decamped with Rs. 5 lakh. The miscreants had also fired and the incident was captured in the CCTV. An FIR was lodged with the police under Nasariganj police station in this regard. After institution of FIR, the SP formed a police team under the SDPO Kumar Sanjay. During investigation it came to light that on January 17, 2025 at about 2am, motorcycle borne about a dozen armed miscreants fired at Jamalpur Sand Ghat and decamped with the booty.

The SP further said that a teenage boy played an important role and identified the miscreants. Following his information and CCTV footage, the police arrested six miscreants. He said that the police will soon arrest the rest miscreants. The police also recovered two motorcycles, two mobiles and Rs. 40,000 in cash and the clothes the miscreant had worn at the time of incident. The arrested miscreants were identified as Daya Shankar Kumar son of Dhananjay Singh of Khirodih under Karakat police station in Rohtas disttict, Rahul Kumar son of late Mahendra Singh, Ajit Kumar alias Banara son of Awadhesh Singh of Lala Atmi under Nasariganj police station of Rohtas district.
