ROHTAS POLICE ARREST SEVEN MISCREANTS WITH LOOTED ARTICLES

Buxar police arrested seven miscreants including a woman and a jeweler who used to purchase looted articles from Chhitandihara village under Rajpur police station in Buxar district in connection with a theft at Karama village under Dhansoi police station in Buxar district. The police also recovered looted articles.

BUXAR-----------------------------Buxar police arrested seven miscreants including a woman and a jeweler who used to purchase looted articles from Chhitandihara village under Rajpur police station in Buxar district in connection with a theft at Karama village under Dhansoi police station in Buxar district. The police also recovered looted articles. The arrested miscreants were identified as Vosil Kharwar’s son Pintu Kumar, daughter Manju Devi of Kaidasih village, Sukhari Kharwar and his brother Satya Kharwar sons of Bhadol Kharwar of Dhiwara village under Bikramganj police station, Nitish Kumar son of Prem Kharwar, Golu Kharwar son of Ram Pravesh Kharwar Videshi Tola under Akodhigola police station in Rohtas district. The jeweler Santu Kumar son of Ram Janam Segh is a resident of Alamganj locality of Sasaram town in Rohtas district. The police arrested him from Sasaram.

Buxar SP Manish Kumar said that some armed miscreants entered a house of Shesh Muni Kumar at Karama village under Dhansoi police station in the night on January 19, 2024 and looted valuables and decamped with the booty. When he protested, the miscreants thrashed Shesh Muni Kumar and his mother-in-law and injured them. Shesh Muni Kumar and his wife Hema Kumari lodged an FIR with the police under Dhansoi police station in this regard.

The SP further stated that the police seized some looted articles and tools used in scaling the wall of the house from them. On the revelation of the arrested miscreants the police arrested the jeweler Santu Kumar from Sasaram and recovered looted jewelries from him. He said that the police recovered four silver anklets, 20 silver toe rings, four hand bracelets, two silver rings, two silver lockets, one Jiutiya, seven sarees, three T-shirts besides seven iron chisels, one iron adze, one dagger, one iron pan, two screwdrivers and Rs. 2000 in cash. The SP said that during interrogation, the arrested miscreants confessed their involvement in the dacoity.
