SASARAM-----------------------------Rohtas police arrested four miscreants and recovered a country made pistol and cash from them in connection with a loot from truck driver. The arrested miscreants were identified as Sonu Kumar son of Shivmurat, Manoj Bind son of Sitaram Bind, Krishna Kumar son of late Jitendra Bind and Dabloo Yadav son of Hari Yadav of Patadhi village under Shivsagar police station in Rohtas district. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation.
DSP Dilip Kumar said that about half a dozen miscreants had stuck iron nail on the road near M K Hotel at Ghorghat village under Shivsagar police station on NH-2 in Rohtas district in the midnight on November 4, 2024. Meanwhile, a potato laden 14 wheeler truck from Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh came and the front tyre of the truck got punctured. The driver and the co-driver board down the truck to inspect the tyre when about half a dozen armed miscreants came and snatched mobile and Rs. 1400 in cash at pistol point and escaped from the scene. The driver Keshav Yadav son of Ram Yadav of Lutiya village under Lambhua police station of Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh lodged an FIR with the police under Shivsagar police station in this regard. Taking the incident seriously, the Rohtas SP formed a police team under the SDPO Sasaram-1 to arrest the miscreants. The police team, after institution of FIR swung into action and acting on a confidential report, conducted rids at Patadhi and Ghorghat Kumhau gate village and arrested four miscreants namely Sonu Kumar son of Shivmurat, Manoj Bind son of Sitaram Bind, Krishna Kumar son of late Jitendra Bind and Dabloo Yadav son of Hari Yadav and also recovered a country made pistol and Rs. 1400 in cash. The DSP said that the rest two miscreants have been identified and the police are conducting raids to arrest them.
