ROHTAS POLICE ARREST AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 25000 AND RECOVERED FIRE ARMS

SASARAM---------------------------Rohtas police, acting on a tip off, arrested a miscreant bearing an award of Rs. 25000 on his head from Dabaria village under Suryapura police station in Rohtas district and sent him to jail after interrogation. The arrested miscreant was identified as Dhama Mishra alias Premchand Mishra son of Jagdish Mishra of Madhukarpur village under Dinara police station in Rohtas district. The police seized a country made pistol and four live cartridges from him.

DSP Sanjay Kumar said that Dhama Mishra alias Premchand Mishra of Madhukarpur village under Dinara police station had shot dead a widow 38 daughter-in-law of Dukhi Sah of Dabaria village under Suryapura police station about six months ago and a named FIR No. 198/2023 was lodged with the police under Suryapura police station and since he was absconding. The police had pasted proclamation notice for attachment of property on the walls of his house but in vain. He said meanwhile, the police got information that Dhama Mishra alias Premchand Mishra had come to Dabaria village to threaten the witnesses. So a police team was formed at once and the police team conducted raid at Dabaria village and arrested Dhama Mishra alias Premchand Mishra along with a country made pistol and four live cartridges. The DSP further said that several criminal cases are pending against him in different police station and he had been in jail several times. He stated that the Shahabad range DIG announced an award of Rs. 25000 on his head for arresting him live or dead.
