ROHTAS POLICE ARREST AN ABSCONDER
-Rohtas police arrested an absconder and sent him to jail in connection with a bank loot case
Sasaram, 18 July 2023, (RNI): Rohtas police arrested an absconder and sent him to jail in connection with a bank loot case. The miscreant was identified as Santosh Kumar Mehata son of Upendra Mehata of Apki village under Kasma police station in Aurangabad district in Bihar.
Bikramganj SDPO Shashi Bhushan Singh said that five armed miscreants had tried to loot the Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank, Karakat branch at gun point in Rohtas district in the year 2016 but due to alertness of the bank employees the bid was foiled and escaped from the scene. The police had already arrested and sent two miscreants to jail earlier in this case and now the police on the basis of mobile surveillance conducted raid at Apki village and arrested the third one Santosh Kumar Mehata and the police are conducting raids to arrest the rest miscreants involved in the case.
