ROHTAS POLICE ARREST A PERSON WITH FIREARMS

SASARAM (RNI) Rohtas police arrested a person in connection with firing at the de-addition centre at Loribandh village under Karakat police station in Rohtas district and seized a country made pistol, live cartridges, one bullet motorcycle and a mobile from him. The arrested miscreant was identified as Bikesh Kumar Pandey son of Arun Pandey of Jamua Tola. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Karakat police station in this regard and the police sent him to jail after interrogation.

Bikramganj SDPO Kumar Sanjay said that Om Prakash Singh ran a de-addiction centre at his residence at Loribandh village. On April 2, 2024. Bikesh Pandey went there fired with an intention of murder. As the news spread, police rushed to the spot and identified the miscreant with help of the CCTV footage. Taking it seriously, the Rohtas SP formed a police team for the arrest of the miscreant. The police team conducted raids at several places and at last the police arrested him. The SDPO further said that the arrested miscreant had been in jail for attempt to murder and also under the Arms Act in the year 2022 and charge sheet against has been filed in the court. He added that last week, Bikesh Kumar Pandey had scuffled with the SHO, Karakat police station Ful Deo Chaudhary in the police station campus and also had a tiff with the patrolling police and escaped from the scene. He also threatened the lady SI posted at Karakat police station after his arrest.
