ROHTAS POLICE ARREST 9 MISCREANTS

SASARAM---------------------------Rohtas police, acting on a tip off, arrested nine miscreants in connection with loot at the Jalalpur Sand Ghat of Nasariganj in Rohtas district. The police had arrested a miscreant with a stolen car Rahul Upadhayaya alias Baba Upadhayaya of Badiha village on January 18, 2025 in this regard while Arun Nat alias Mutur Nat, under mounting police pressure, had surrendered in the court.

Rohtas SP Roushan Kumar said that the police had arrested earlier seven miscreants and had recovered looted money and added that now the police had arrested nine miscreants so far in this regard and sent them to jail. He said that Rahul Upadhayaya alias Baba Upadhayaya is a dreaded criminal who luted teenage boys and commits dacoities and robberies in the area. Over 7 criminal cases are pending with police under different police stations in Rohtas district against him. He stated that police have intensified investigation and are trying to uproot the miscreants’ network.
