ROHTAS POLICE ARREST 7 PERSONS INCLUDING A MUKHIA FOR ATTACKING POLICE FORCE

SASARAM-----------------------------Rohtas police conducted raid at Kalyanpur village under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district and arrested seven persons including a Mukhia in connection with attacking police force. Police are still conducting raids to arrest 11 named and 15 unnamed persons in this regard. The arrested persons were identified as Mukhia, Kalyanpur panchayat, Usha Devi, Markandey and Lal Babu Paswan sons of Bhola Paswan, Vinayak Paswan son of Rudal Paswan, Kalicharan Paswan son of Jai Govind Paswan, Ingla Devi and Pingala Devi daughters of Rudal Paswan.   

Rohtas SP Vinit Kumar said that in the late night on December 30, 2023, a police force under the leadership of SHO Kargahar police station Dilip Kumar had gone to arrest an absconder Kundan Paswan in connection with liquor smuggling where the villagers had attacked police force with traditional weapons and iron rods in which four persons including the SHO were injured. They had also tried to wrest police pistol and rifles. The police team somehow fled away from the spot. An FIR was lodged with the police under Kargahar police station against 18 named and 15 unnamed persons in this regard. The SP stated that he formed a police team under the DSP, town Dilip Kumar to arrest the remaining 11 named and 15 unnamed persons. He said that the police team so far conducted raids at Torana village under Kalyanpur police station and Torani village under Shivsagar police station.
