ROAD NOT CONSTRUCTED DESPITE SANCTION OF FUND

Ara, 11 May 2023, (RNI): Almost all roads in Ara, headquarter of Bhojpur district, said to be arteries of communication, are in dilapidated condition owing to dilly-dallying activities of the district administration though fund has been allotted for it. The hapless residents of Ara are destined to communicate the roads filled with ditches and are very much prone to several health diseases.
Almost all roads in Ara have become not negotiable as they are in dilapidated condition due to insensitiveness of officials concerned. Besides, the roads are dug to fulfill the dream project of the Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar to provide drinking water door to door and the Union Energy Minister and local MP Raj Kumar Singh’s plan to lay electric wire underground. One of the most dilapidated condition of road is from the Ara Municipal Corporation office to the Gayatri Temple at Maulabagh and is used by the people from Chandawa, Bshishth Nagar, Bashishthpuri, Gautam Nagar, Umnagar, Maulabnagh, Badkagaon, Bihia, Jagdishpur, Buxar, Karisath, Navanagar, Gajrajganj, Udwantnagar, Kasap and other areas and the employees working in these offices who visited Ara civil Court, Registry Office, SP office, DEO Office, Ara Collectorate and they face a lot of problem in communicating the road. This road was constructed about eight years ago but since no one paid heed to its deplorable condition.
Though the Town Development Department has sanctioned fund for the repair of this road. Despite sanction of fund road was not constructed and it draws criticism. So the union minister and local MP Raj Kumar Singh got an inquiry committee formed but the matter was shelved. An FIR was also lodged with the police under Ara town police station but no action in this regard was reported so far. It was said that some political leaders and even officials were plotting to prevent any inquiry.
