APP Nagendra Prasad Singh said that some armed miscreants had shot dead Ganga Dayal Singh at Jogata village under Chandi police station on June 27, 2022 at the hand pump of Chand Kumar Master of the village. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Chandi police station Laloo Yadav and Shyam Bihari Yadav of the village on the statement of the wife of the deceased. In the FIR it was blamed that Laloo Yadav had shot dead Ganga Dayal Singh at the instigation of Shyam Bihar Singh over money dispute.
Hearing both the parties, the ADJ XIII Aditya Suman convicted Laloo Yadav and Shyam Bihari Singh and awarded rigorous life imprisonment to them and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on each of them.
