RETIRED ARMY MAN CRUSHED TO DEATH
Motorcycle borne retired army man was crushed to death when a speeding vehicle dashed his motorcycle at Baruhi Bazaar on Nasariganj-Sakaddi State Highway under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district. The driver escaped from the scene with the vehicle.
ARA (RNI) Motorcycle borne retired army man was crushed to death when a speeding vehicle dashed his motorcycle at Baruhi Bazaar on Nasariganj-Sakaddi State Highway under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district. The driver escaped from the scene with the vehicle. The deceased was identified as Janeshwar Sah 72 son of late Bachchu Sah of Bajeriya village under Sahar police station. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. As the news spread, the villagers blocked the road near Baruhi Bazaar and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded arrest of the driver of the vehicle immediately, Rs. 10 lakh compensation and other government benefits to the family members of the deceased. The blockaded could be lifted after four hours after positive response of the officers.
SHO Sahar police station said that Jaeshwar Sah, a retired army man was going to his native village Bajeria from Baruhi village on his motorcycle when a speeding Pick-Up collided head-on with his motorcycle at Baruhi Bazaar killing him on spot. Meanwhile, Arwal police reportedly caught the driver with the Pick-up.
