Railway Reservations under VIP quota under Hajipur Railway Zone is under scanner now and railway has planned to noose the corrupt agents too. The railway reservations under VIP quota will be scrutinized in all the railway divisions including Danapur, Dhanbad, DDU, Samastipur, Sonpur under Hajipur Railway Zone. Railway has made a new rule to crack down on the agents. The form will be made to be filled by the passengers travelling in the train after getting reservation through VIP quota.

The railway reservations under VIP quota will be scrutinized in all the railway divisions including Danapur, Dhanbad, DDU, Samastipur, Sonpur under Hajipur Railway Zone. Railway has made a new rule to crack down on the agents. The form will be made to be filled by the passengers travelling in the train after getting reservation through VIP quota.
Passengers whose tickets have been confirmed through VIP quota will be asked to submit a seven column form during their journey by the TTE. It will be mentioned in this that with whose reference the ticket has been confirmed after getting VIP quota allotted. It will also be asked whether extra money was paid under VIP quota. The passengers will have to fill the name and address of the railway officer, employee, minister and leader with reference to whom the quota has been issued and his or her details like Adhar Card and mobile number.
Railway officials say that if the VIP quota of passengers has been imposed correctly and is valid, there is no need to fear. Railway officials were often receiving complaints that agents charge huge amount in the name of imposing quota and confirm seats. This racket was being run using fake letter pads with the connivance of some railway employees. Now the Vigilance team of railways will conduct a complete investigation and action will be taken against the culprits. This rule has been made to crack down on the agents. If any railway officer or employee is found involved in imposing VIP reservation quota, they will be subjected to this action.
Senior DCM, Danapur Railway Division said that if any minister, MLA, MP or other VIP has more cases under Quota, he is asked to keep an eye on that seat till the form is filled. TTE will investigate and reach the agent and action will be taken against him and an FIR will also be filed if fraud is found.
