REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASM
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm in Bhojpur district. The national flag was unfurled by almost all educational institutions, government offices, NGOs, Red Cross Society, Bal Hindi Pustakalaya, Arya Samaj, Lawaris Sewa Kendra, Lok Jagriti Ara, Youth Hostel of India, IMA, Civil Court, SP office, all the police stations and other social organizations.

The main function was organized at historical Ramana Maidan where Bhojpur District Magistrate, Raj Kumar hoiisted the tri-colour national flag. Paying tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed themselves for the independence of their motherland, he highlighted the achievements of the government and the district administration. He also apprised the people with the schemes and policy of the government. He gave away certificates of appreciation to students for their excellence in the field of sports, education, arts and culture, health.
Earlier in the morning, school children took out a ‘Prabhat Pheri’ that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated at Ramana Maidan.
Headmasters and Principals of all schools and colleges at their respective schools and colleges, SHOs of all the police stations, Chairperson at the Red Cross Society, Vice-President, Youth Hostel of India, Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav at the SP Office, Bhojpur District Judge at Ara Civil Court, former MLC, Lal Das Rai at Lawaris Sewa Kendra, Mayor, AMC, Indu Devi at AMC and others unfurled the national flag in their respective places.
A friendly cricket match was also organized in between police and people representatives at Navanagar playground under Gajrajganj police outpost.
