ARA------------------------On the occasion of Ram Praan Pratishtha in Ayodhya, the entire Ara town wore a festive look and the day was celebrated with religious atmosphere. The entire Bhojpur district was decorated with flags inscribed with the slogans “Jai Sri Ram.” Even all the temples particularly historical Badi Mathia, head office of the Ramananda Sampradaya, Ramana Hanuman Temple, Aranya Devi Temple were decorated with garlands and earthen lamps were lit. Ram Stortes were chanted at each and every temple and Prasad was distributed among the devotees.

A huge procession was taken out from the Aranaya Devi temple that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated at Raman Maidan where discourses on Sri Ram Charit Manas and Akhand Kirtan were organized since January 14, 2024. At the Ramana Maidan, local MP union energy minister R K Singh honoured the ‘Kar Sewak’ and some saints of the district. Since morning the atmosphere had become devotional and devotional songs were heard from all around. The Ara town was decorated with saffron flags and even almost all the temples were tastefully decorated with festoons, saffron flags, canopies, banners, flowers and rangolis. Earthen lamps were lit at temples and also at each and every house of Ara and even crackers were exploded. Ara Badi Mathia, headquarter of Ramananda sect, the newly built Ram temple in Ayodhya belongs to that sect, was decorated tastefully with flowers and earthen lamps and Mahaarti was also organized there. Manath, Ara Badi Mathia Ram Kinkar Das Jee Maharaj said that Raju Poddar and his family and owner of Monte Carlo, organized all the decoration and even the live telecast of the Ram Pran Prathishtha programme. He said in the evening his family and hundreds of other devotees gathered and lit earthen lamps in the temple giving it a fairy look and also offered Mahaarti to the God Ram and even Lord Hanuman.

Though people did not come out of their houses till noon as they stuck to their TVs to watch live telecast of Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya but they came on roads in the evening in thousands and gathered at temple to have a ‘darshan’ and to offer ‘prasad’ to god and goddess. The roads were filled with sea of humanities. Earthen lamps were lit on either side of the roads and devotees also sang and danced on roads in front of Ram temple.
