Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Dr. Bharat Bhushan Pandey, president of the institutes, said that by worshiping Guru on the day of Guru Purnima, the Antevasi used to get training in daily rituals like Sandhya-Vandan etc. for a month. Likewise, on the day of Shravan-Purnima, in Shravan Upakarma, which is done on the pilgrimage site or on the banks of rivers or sea, the sages used to engage in the study of Vedas by completing external and internal purification through worship, fasting etc. Acharya said that the students trained in Gurukul tradition used to invest and utilize their lives in social welfare works after graduation. Sanskrit is the language of God and through this divinity is infused into the society and the protection of culture and values is ensured and this is the specialty of India.
Prof. Baliraj Thakur said that there are reports of violence and anarchy in the country every day. This situation has arisen due to the huge decline in the values of life and the field of education. This situation can be changed by spreading Sanskrit. Social worker, Shiv Das Singh emphasized on running more and more Sanskrit Schools and universities.
Dr. Satya Narayan Upadhayaya and Satyendra Narayan Singh described Sanskrit as the soul of culture and the stepping stone for world welfare. On this occasion, the unanimously passed resolution demanded the government to take effective initiatives to honour Sanskrit Scholars and encourage Sanskrit students.
Many prominent people including Radha Prasad Pathak, Vishwanath Dubey, Rang Ji Singh, Sunil Kumar, Rakesh Mishra, Janardan Mishra, Mrityunjay Chaudhary and others also spoke on the occasion.
