PROFESSIONAL DANCER SHOT DEAD IN ROHTAS VILLAGE
A professional dancer was shot dead at Kota village under Darigaon police station in Rohtas district during a marriage ceremony.
Sasaram, 14 May 2023, (RNI): A professional dancer was shot dead at Kota village under Darigaon police station in Rohtas district during a marriage ceremony. The deceased was identified as Chandani Kumari 19 of Beda village under Sasaram Muffassil police station. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
SHO Darigaon police station Santosh Kumar said that a marriage ritual of Munna Mahato was going on in the house of Sandip Mahato and a dance programme was organized on the occasion for the entertainment of guests. Meanwhile, a youth in drunken stage, entered the room where the dancers stayed and shot at and injured one of the dancers Chandani Kumari and escaped. She was admitted to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Darigaon police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreant.
