PRIEST LYNCHED IN ROHTAS DISTRICT

Sasaram, 23 March 2023, (RNI): One priest of a temple was beaten to death at Thakurbadi under Sanjhauli police station in Rohtas district. He was working in the temple as priest for the last several years. The deceased was identified as Janardan Das of Kamyini village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district. Later the police brought the body to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR was lodged with the police under Sanjhauli police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.

SHO Sanjhauli police station said that the priest Janardan Das had dispute with some villagers and they might have killed him. The villagers demanded inquiry into the matter and arrest of the miscreants at the earliest.
