PREGNANT WOMAN STRANGULATED TO DEATH

Ara, 23 March 2023, (RNI): One pregnant woman was strangulated to death at Badhghara village under Ayar police station merely for dowry. The in-laws escaped from the scene leading the body. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Pramoti Devi wife of Lallu Yadav of Badhghara village under Ayar police station. An FIR was lodged with the police under Ayar police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.

SHO Ayar police station said that Pramoti Devi of Ramshahar village under Chandi police station was married to Lallu Yadav of Badhghara village under Ayar police station in the year 2019. Since, she was tortured even physically for dowry. Meanwhile, she became pregnant but the in-laws had so sympathy for her and they strangulated her to death when their demands were not fulfilled and they escaped from the scene leading the body behind.
