ARA---------------------------On the seventh day of the Seven-day discourses on Sri Shiv Purana Katha at Shahdevgiri Temple at Katira organized under the banners of Sri Sanatan Shaktipeeth Sansthanam and Sanatan-Srusari Seva Trust on the occasion of Shravan Samaradhana, Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey Ji Maharaja said that Banasur, the second son of demon King Bali, worshiped Lord Shiva a lot. By the grace of Lord Shiva, his life was saved and he was included among his prominent members Acharya said that one attains position and prestige as a result of the penance done over many births and as soon as one gets it, the pride, ego overcome him or her that destroys the fruits of penance.
He further said that life and its divinities are for the benefit of all beings for the service of all. To have a feeling of compassion towards all living beings is greatness. Those who are real devotees see themselves or their favourite God in all living beings. They do not have animosity towards anyone but have true love for everyone. This is the form of Lord Shiva and the message of Shiva Purana.
Acharya Dr. Bharat Bhushan Ji Maharaja said that the world remains balanced and orderly due to the coordination of Shiva and Vishnu. While narrating the story of the Yudh section of Rudra Samhita of Shiv Purana, Acharya said that all the demons, anarchists and arrogant elements who came to disorganize the world, be it Jalandhar, Shankhachud, Banasur, Andhakasur or Gajasur, Lord Sri Hari and Har or Shankar together suppress anarchy and purify the demon-chaotic elements.
He added that it is Lord Shiva and Shri Vishnu who inculcate prudence, dispassion and devotion to the God among the demons who misuse the powers obtained through high level of penance to oppress the gods and people and who reveal great men like Prahalad and others with bright character in their lineage. They are the ones who manage and maintain the world through various activities. While highlighting the necessity of worshipingn Shaligramshila along with Tulsi and conch, Acharya said that all the wishes of such an Archak are fulfilled. He narrated the story of the severe penance done by Shukracharya to Lord Shiva in Kashi and the attainment of Mritasanjeevani Vidya from him and Lord Shiva being established as Shukresh Linga. He also ceremoniously described the glory of Kashi and the glory of the Krittivaseshwar Linga established by Gajasur there and the Kandukeshwar Linga established by Jagadamba Parvati and the attainment of ultimate happiness and gratitude in the world and the next world by worshipping Shiva.
