POLICE RECOVERED KIDNAPPED GIRL FROM SASARAM IN ROHTAS DISTRICT

ARA (RNI) Bhojpur police recovered a minor girl from Sasaram in Rohtas district though her kidnapper could not be arrested.

SHO Bihia police station said that Raju Mehata son of Shyam Sundar Singh of Sasaram under the same police station in Rohtas district decoyed and kidnapped a teenage girl from Bihia in Bhojpur district with a view to marry her on December 11, 2024. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Bihia police station against two persons in connection with kidnapping of the girl on the statement of the mother of the girl. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and following mobile surveillance, the Bhojpur police went to Sasaram in Rohtas district and with the help of their Rohtas counterpart recovered the girl from there though the kidnapper escaped from the scene. The police brought the girl to Ara and produced her in the Ara Civil Court to get her statement registered under section 164 CrPC after getting her medical examined at the Ara Sadar Hospital.

ASI, Bihia police station Manoj Kumar said that the girl came in contact with Raju Mehata on social media and were talking for the last six months and both fell in love. Meanwhile, the youth came to Bihia and kidnapped the girl and returned Sasaram. He said that police are conducting raids to arrest Raju Mehata.
