POLICE LATHICHARGED STUDENTS

Ara (RNI) Police lathicharged the agitating students on the campus of the Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU) today in which over a dozen student leaders were injured. The students of protesting the Senate meeting of the VKSU as the university administration ignored their demands and tried to suppress their voices.

A meeting of the VKSU Senate meeting was scheduled today and the Bihar Governor and Chancellor of the Universities, Vishwath Arlekar had come to attend the meeting but the student leaders of different student organizations were protesting organizing the Senate meeting as the VKSU administration ignored their demands and tried to suppress their voices instead. As the governor came to the meeting spot, the student leaders raised slogans against the Governor and the VKSU administration and they also tried to enter the meeting hall but the VKSU administration had made elaborate security arrangement speculation protest from the students. The officials of the VKSU tried their best to calm down the students but in vain. They were not ready to budge and continued their agitation and started protesting the meeting of the Senate. At this, the police lathicharged them and injured a number of students.

Agitating student organization, All India Vidyarthi Parishad said that the Vice-Chancellor, VKSU was gagging the voice of the students but the students are now woke up and the university administration had to bow before them. They further said that students are the future of the nation and they cannot tolerate any torture. They stated that the way the students have been lathicharged today, it has to be said that students might be like insects for the officials of the VKSU but when these students are together, the government will have to bow down and this government will have to be bowed down. They added that the Vice-Chancellor is working like a dictator and said that it the university administration and the families of the officials including the VC are running with the amount collected from the students at the time of enrollment and examination.
