POLICE ARREST AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 50,000

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police arrested an awardee of Rs. 50,000 Bhola Rai and sent him to jail in connection with forcibly plowing the field of a woman at Baruhi village under Chauri police station in Bhojpur district and threatening her with dire consequences. The arrested miscreant was identified as Bhola Rai. The police recovered a live cartridge and a tractor from him.

ASP Parichay Kumar said that Vimlesh Singh father of Usha Devi of Baruhi village under Chauri police station lodged a named FIR with the police under Chauri police station on July 27, 2024 saying that when he along with his sister went to his field, they saw that Bhola Rai and his brother Satish Rai sons of Ramyash Rai were forcibly ploughing the field. When they protested, both the brothers threatened with dire consequences at pistol point and also demanded Rs. 50,000 extortion. After institution of FIR, he formed a police team under the SHO Chauri police station Vivek Kumar and the police, following scientific and technical evidences arrested one of the named accused Bhola Rai who carried an award of Rs. 50,000 on his head while another named accused and his brother Satish Rai escaped from the scene. The police recovered a live cartridge and a tractor from his house. The ASP further stated that the police sent Bhola Rai to jail after interrogation.

It may be mentioned here that Bhola Rai is a dreaded criminal and a number of criminal cases are pending against him under Chauri police station. The police have also announced an award of Rs. 50,000 on his head.
