POISON ADDED TO THE POND FOR NOT GIVING FISH FREE

Buxar, 30 June 2023, (RNI): Some anti-social elements mixed poison to a pond at Murar village under the same police station of Dumraon Sub-Division in Buxar district after the fisherman refused to give two kilogram of fish as rangdari. As a result all the fish in the pond died and floated on the surface of the pond. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Murar police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
Ram Ranjan Prasad Singh dug a pond dug private land about a year ago and started fish rearing. He had put fish seed of different varieties and races in the pond of about Rs. 80,000 a year ago. Jitendra Sah who is the custodian of the pond said that a youth of the village had demanded two kilogram of fish two days ago as rangdari and when he refused, he threatened to take revenge and in the morning all the fish were found dead and floating on surface of the pond. He informed the owner of the pond and gave a written petition in the police station against a youth of the village Annu Chaudhary son of Jag Narayan Chaudhary.
Ram Ranjan Prasad Sinha said that the fish were fed 60 packets fodder and vitamins worth about Rs. 2.5 thousand in a year but the mischievous elements caused loss of about Rs. 5 lakhs to him by adding poison to the pond.
SHO Murar police station Ravi Kant said that a named FIR has been lodged in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreant.
