ARA--------------------------------High Court Patna, slapped a fine of Rs. 50,000 on the registrar of the Veer Kuer Singh University Dr. Ran Vijay Kumar for defying the order of the court and also ordered to withhold his salary. Earlier the education department had withheld his salary.
It may be said here that earlier the Patna High Court had given the verdict in favour of 129 coordinated employees of the Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU) but when their payment was not made, they again knocked the door of the court. After that, the court had fixed the date and ordered to pay 25 percent of the total dues but the VKSU failed pay the 25 percent amount of the employees till date. While hearing the case, the Patna High Court passed the above order against the Registrar of the VKSU, Dr. Ran Vijay Kumar. The Patna High Court asked him to deposit a fine of Rs. 50,000 in the court authority fund. The High Court had given relief by validating the reinstatement.
It may be recalled that in April 2023, the Patna High Court had given relief by validating the reinstatement of 129 class III and Class IV grade employees reinstated in various constituent colleges under the VKSU in the 80s. Hearing the case, the Patna High Court ordered to give financial benefits to the adjusted employees. In the order, joint responsibility was assigned to the government and the VKSU administration for providing financial benefits the adjusted employees.
The employees were removed from services five years ago and after which they knocked the door of the Patna High Court. The Patna High Court had also given an order in favour of the employees in the year 2019 but the government had gone to LPA. After this again in April, the Patna High Court ordered in favour of the university employees although the VKSU has got them joined the duty conditionally in the last year on the order of the court.
