ONE YOUTH KILLED, ANOTHER INJURED IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA---------------------One youth was killed while another seriously injured when a speeding tractor collided dashed the motorcycle from behind near Dak Bungalow at Karath village under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district. Irate villagers blocked the road near Dak Bungalow with the body of the deceased and also set the tractor on fire. They burnt fire on the road and paralyzed movement of the vehicles for four hours. They raised slogans against the district administration and also demanded arrest of the driver and compensation for the family of the deceased. The blockade could be lifted after the Circle Officer, Tarari block Amir Azim gave a cheque of Rs. 20,000 and also assured to take all possible action in this regard. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured in a private nursing home in Rohtas. The deceased was identified as Manu Kumar 21 son of Vindhyachal Ram of Kenchua village under Godari police station in Rohtas district while the injured was identified as Ajay Kumar 20 son of Balchand Ram of the same village. The deceased worked in a private company in Hyderabad and he had come home about a week ago.

SHO Tarari police station Pradeep Kumar Bhashkar said that Manu Kumar along with his friend Ajay Kumar had come to his sister Parvati Devi at Badaki Khadaw village under Sahar police station on the occasion of Makarsankranti. When he was returning on his motorcycle, a speeding tractor dashed his motorcycle from behind near Dak Bungalow at Karath village under Tarari police station killing Manu Kumar on spot and injuring Ajay Kumar seriously.
