ONE WOMAN BEATEN TO DEATH

One woman was beaten to death while two other injured merely for eating fish at Sikariya village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district. The deceased was identified as Sona Devi.

ASHO Bikramganj police station Vishwambhar Prasad said that some people were taking liquor at the bank of a river at Sikariya village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district at about 10pm. Meanwhile, they started quarreling over eating fish in which Dharmendra Pasi son of late Ram Pravesh Pasi was badly injured. His mother Sona Devi was taking him to the hospital when her brother-in-law (devar) Teslal Pasi attacked her from behind with an axe and injured her and escaped from the scene. The family members rushed her to the hospital where the doctor declared her dead.
