ONE PERSON SUCCUMBED TO INJURIES

Ara, 4 February 2023, (RNI): One person succumbed to injuries on way to the Patna Medical College and Hospital. The deceased was identified as Vindhachal Prasad 48 son of late Shiv Ji Sahof Saraiya village under Krishnagarh police station. He ran a battery shop near Old Police Line while another injured Sushil Kumar Kalwar alias Dhanu was undergoing treatment at the Ara Sadar Hospital. After his death, the locals and the family members became agitated and went on rampage. Later the police brought the body to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a marriage of Vikki Soni son of late Jitendra Prasad Soni of Saraiya village was to be solemnized in the house of Sunil Kumar Prasad at Dhobaha village under Ara Muffassil police station. At the gate Vindhyachal Prasad and Sushil Kumar Kalwar along with others were standing to watch the rituals when two youths started pleasure firing and Vindhyachal Prasad and Sushil Kumar Kalwar received bullets and were injured. Both the youths escaped from the scene after the incident. They were rushed to a private nursing home at Ara but the doctor referred Vindhyachal Prasad to the PMCH in precarious condition but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the PMCH. An FIR was lodged with the police and the police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. A dispute over playing of DJ is said to the cause behind the incident.
