ONE KILLED, ANOTHER INJURED

Ara (RNI) One person was killed while another injured when their motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding auto-rickshaw near Siyadiha village under Charpokhari police station on Ara-Sasaram State Highway in the night. The deceased was identified as Suraj Kumar Kesari alias Munnu Kumar 24 son of Sushil Kesari of Baradh village under Charpokhari police station while the injured was identified his nephew Pankaj Kumar 14 son of Rameshwar Prasad Kesari of Agiaw village under the same police station in Bhojpur district. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased had a grocery shop at Charpokhari Bazaar and was to be married. 

Suraj Kumar Kesari along with his nephew Pankaj Kumar had come to Mirganj at Ara under Ara town police station to attend the marriage ceremony of the his friend’s sister. After the marriage he along with his nephew was returning their village on a motorcycle at about 2am and when he reached near Siyadih village under Charpokhari police station on Ara-Sasaram State Highway, a speeding auto-rickshaw collided head-on with the motorcycle injuring both the motorcycle borne persons. Later the driver escaped from the scene with the vehicle. Some farmers who going to their field, saw them lying on the road in the pool of blood, informed the police. On information, the police rushed them to Charpokhari Primary Health Centre. The doctors referred them to the Ara Sadar Hospital after first aid but Suraj Kumar Kesari succumbed to his injuries there during treatment.
