ARA----------------------------Speeding vehicle knocked down two persons in which one person was killed near Dharahara Kali temple under Bihia police station on Bihia-Jagdishpur main road in the late evening on October 11, 2024. The deceased was identified a Sadhu Yadav 35 son of Sri Bhagwan Yadav of Dharahara under Bihia police station while Pukar Yadav was injured. Both are masons by profession. Irate villagers blocked the Bihia-Jagdishpur main road and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded arrest of the driver of the vehicle. The blockade could be lifted after positive response of police officers. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured in the Bihia Primary Health Centre.
SHO Bihia police station said that two masons, Sadhu Yadav and Pukar Yadav were returning their home in the evening after day long working at a site when a speeding Scorpio knocked them down in which Sadhu Yadav was killed and Pukar Yadav was badly injured.
