ONE ELDERLY PERSON KILLED, ANOTHER INJURED
-A speeding auto-rickshaw crushed to death an elderly person and injured another on Sakhawa-Karup main road near Gorakh Paraasi village under Karakat police station in Rohtas district when they were going to a field to attend call of nature. The driver escaped from the scene after the incident.
SASARAM (RNI) A speeding auto-rickshaw crushed to death an elderly person and injured another on Sakhawa-Karup main road near Gorakh Paraasi village under Karakat police station in Rohtas district when they were going to a field to attend call of nature. The driver escaped from the scene after the incident. The deceased was identified as Hari Narayan Kahar 58 son of late Hazari Kahar of Gorakh Pasari village under Karakat police station while the injured was identified as Muni Prasad 60 son of Mangaru Kahar of the same village. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured to the Community Health Centre, Karakat but the doctor referred him in precarious condition. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Karakat police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the auto-rickshaw driver.
SHO Karakat police station Ravi Bhushan Kumar said that Hari Narayan Kahar and Muni Prasad of Gorakh-Parasi village under Karakat police station were going to a field in the village to attend call of nature and when they reached on Sakhawa-Karup main road near the Gorakh-Pasari village, a speeding auto-rickshaw crushed Hari Narayan Kahar to death and injured Munni Prasad.
